New Decade, New Gratitude Challenge

Bank some happy thoughts by starting a gratitude journal.

There is actual research that shows by remembering and writing down 3 good things that happen each day, you can lower the symptoms of depression.

My resolution, before the New Decade, is to Instagram Thanksgiving. I’m going to post or make a story of something that I’m thankful for everyday.

This is actually a huge challenge for me. I’m not great at doing things everyday, but I’m going to say some statements to help me BELIEVE!

  • I forgive myself for believing that I can’t do this everyday gratitude thing.

  • I forgive myself for believing that I’m just tooting my own horn.

  • I forgive myself for believing rituals and commitments don’t matter that much.

  • I love and accept myself even when I’m afraid to seem like I’m “showing off” just being a marketing ploy…

  • I forgive others for not being grateful.

  • I forgive others when they struggle with gratitude and showing it.

  • I give others permission to forgive me when I’m not grateful, or I am afraid to show gratitude.

  • I love and accept myself even when I’m afraid to share good things.

  • I love and accept myself even when I’m afraid there’s no reason to share.

  • I love and accept myself even when I’m afraid to be public and publicly judged.

Without this fear and insecurity, I am free to show my gratitude no matter how big or small… I am free to be authentic and genuine with humble gratitude… I am free to witness to others gratitude. I am free to let others be grateful to me. I am free to commit to love and humble gratitude publicly or privately.
