How To Get The Most Out Of Your Phone/Video EPT Session

Now, How Can You Get The Most Out Of Your Online EPT Sessions?

1. Face To Face Video Chat Is Better Than Phone. 

Commit to doing it face to face. I know you just want to lay down and be unshowered in your Online Session (and maybe you’ll still be unshowered), but the effort you put in to fully showing up face-to-face in your session makes a difference in your healing. 

See the “I can show up” blog--the same level of showing up to your healing is requires in teletherapy sessions. 

2. Get Comfy, But Not Too Comfy.

Get a glass of water. Go to the bathroom. Put on some low relaxing background music or white noise. Be comfortable, in a place without distractions. Do your best to stay focused. I’ve definitely had people fall asleep on the phone. For me, I like being comfortable, more than like I’m sitting at a desk working. Sitting upright in a comfy chair maybe with some white noise, aromatherapy, candles, crystals, stuffed animals--whatever you need--is perfect.

3. If You Can, Have A Trusted Friend Or Family Member Nearby.

Getting any kind of holistic emotional therapy can be emotional. We may breach tough or traumatic topics. In that case, please have a person available for yourself if you need that in-person support. Not everyone is a good candidate for long-distance EPT, and complex trauma or loneliness is not a good fit. Have someone there if you think you might need it.

4. Use Your Magnets!

After your initial consult and 30-minute session, you have to get some magnets (and you will!). All clients who buy an EPT package or subscription will receive magnets. Magnets are a huge part of the procedure of EPT, and they will make your remote therapy better. 

5. Record The Session.

This is more a personal preference, but some people really love to go back over their sessions to lock it in. Of course, you can do this in-person as well. Some clients like to have a record and reuse the statements. I, personally, just let it be once we’re done. But you never know when it may come in handy for yourself or someone else.
