I Can Let Go

We finally made it to LETTING GO! Hooray! Happy Dance. Let’s do this!

In a previous blog, I introduced the 4 blocks to healing--Show up, pay attention, tell the truth, and let go. If you’re struggling with one of these, then healing is a lot tougher. Same thing in any sort of growth of your money, business, or relationships. To actively show up, pay attention, tell the truth, and let go--transformation with happen.

These 4 ideas come from the book “The Four Fold Way” by Angeles Arrien.  In Emotional Polarity Technique, I test to see if for a certain narrative or thought pattern one of these is weak, this way, I can incorporate affirmation to help with these 4 blocks.

This is the last week, and we made from showing up, to paying attention, to telling the truth and now LETTING GO.

Let go.

When people ask me what I do, I have a variety of 30 second to 1 minute speeches, but the bottom line is that I help people to let go. Forgiveness is ultimately letting go, and reclaiming yourself, truth, power, being, whatever it is that you want to finally claim. Your hands were full of past issues, struggles, emotions, patterns, relationships, and now you are ready to embrace the present.

That’s what I do.

When my clients struggle with letting go, it is often because of fear. There is a fear of the unknown. There is a fear that I won’t know who I am if I let this old stuff go. There is fear that I’ll be lost, alone, confused. There is fear that I’ll no longer be protected with the shield of my own old belief patterns. But now, you are a new, you are still you, and you can know and love yourself honoring the old, and embracing the new.

Letting go is letting go of control.

It’s letting go of expectations.

It is having gratitude for what was and what is to come.

Let go and trust that you have what it takes to handle the present.

Here are some statements to help you let go.

I forgive myself for believing...

  • I can’t let go.

  • Letting go means I will lose myself.

  • I will lose myself if I let go..

  • Letting go opens me up to more hurt.

  • Others will not accept me if I let go.

  • I’ll be too overwhelmed with shame if I let go.

  • It’s too hard to let go.

  • My relationships will be over if I let go.

  • I won’t be able to handle the hurt again if I let go.

I forgive others…

  • For hurting me when I let go.

  • For forcing me to let go.

  • For rejecting me when I let go.

  • For not letting go.

  • For failing me when I let go and try to connect.

  • For teaching me that letting go is dangerous.

  • For avoiding me when I let go.

I give others permission to forgive me for…

  • When I don’t let go.

  • Not being fully myself and letting go.

  • Hurting them when they are letting go.

  • For blaming them for why I don’t let go.

  • Being angry when they do not let go.

I love and accept myself even when I’m afraid to…

  • Let go.

  • Lose who I was.

  • Lose an old relationship.

  • Be alone.

  • Not know who I am if I let go.

I give myself permission to let go in love, forgiveness, happiness, feeling safe, secure, and complete.

I give myself permission to let go and be myself with faith, knowing I am competent and efficient.

I give myself permission to know letting go is a part of growing into being me.

I give myself permission to let go and embrace new healthy relationships, healing, and gifts.

Without this fear, I am free to let go and love more.
